About the procedure

A minimally invasive, medically prescribed laser procedure for skin tightening, facial rejuvenation and localised fat reduction. Ultra-fine fibre-optic probes are introduced beneath the skin without incisions. FDA-cleared and performed exclusively by qualified medical practitioners.

No. Thread lifts mechanically pull tissue upward and last 12–18 months without addressing fat or stimulating collagen. Endolift® works at a biological level, providing both tightening and fat reduction, with longer-lasting, progressively improving results.

RF and HIFU heat the skin from the outside in, with limited depth and modest results. Endolift® works from the inside out at the precise target layer, allowing far greater clinical effect in a single treatment.

They use similar technology but are not the same. Laser liposuction involves larger cannulas, significant downtime and is designed for larger-volume fat removal. Endolift® uses ultra-fine probes, requires no recovery time and is designed for localised refinement and skin tightening, particularly on the face — think precision contouring rather than bulk fat removal.

Adults with mild–moderate skin laxity on the face or body, of any skin type or tone, wanting to address early signs of ageing without surgery. A full consultation confirms suitability.

Endolift® may not be appropriate if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active infection or significant skin condition in the treatment area, have certain auto-immune conditions, take blood-thinning medications, or have very severe skin laxity that would benefit more from surgical intervention. Your practitioner will assess this fully at consultation.

The treatment experience

The procedure is performed under local anaesthetic, so most patients feel little to no pain, just warmth or mild pressure. The anaesthetic injection is usually the most noticeable sensation.

Typically 30–90 minutes depending on the area(s) treated. A single area such as the jawline usually takes 45–60 minutes.

After anaesthetic has been applied, your practitioner introduces ultra-fine fibre-optic probes beneath the skin at strategic entry points. The laser is activated and the probes are gently moved in fan-shaped motions across the treatment area. You may feel warmth and gentle pressure. At the end, the probes are removed and discarded — no stitches, no dressings required.

Micro-entry points are extremely small and typically close without a visible mark. Mild redness may resolve within hours; occasional light bruising is possible but minimal.

Recovery & results

Most patients return to normal activities within hours. We recommend avoiding strenuous exercise and heat (saunas, steam rooms) for 3–5 days. Make-up can usually be worn the next day.

You’ll notice an immediate improvement in skin firmness and lift from the heat-induced contraction of collagen fibres. A secondary improvement is usually visible around 4–8 weeks as new collagen production begins, with peak results at 9–12 months as collagen remodelling completes. Results are both immediate and progressive.

Typically 2–3 years from a single treatment, thanks to genuine structural change: new collagen, permanent fat cell reduction and improved tissue architecture.

Yes. Multiple areas can often be treated in a single session, for example the jawline and neck together, or face and double chin. Your practitioner will advise on the most appropriate treatment plan at consultation.

Most patients achieve their desired results with a single session. A second session may be recommended for significant laxity or multiple areas.

As with any medical procedure, some side effects are possible, most commonly temporary redness, mild swelling or occasional bruising, resolving within a day or so. Your full risk profile is discussed at consultation.
